Westchester County's Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps working parents cover the cost of child care, with families generally needing to earn below 85% of the state median income and paying a share of the cost themselves.
Effective 1 January 2026, the county began operating a waitlist for child care assistance. That does not mean families should stop applying — a waitlist position is still a position, and eligibility rules change.
