Her Story

Why I'm Running

Westchester is one of the most expensive places in America to raise a family — and residents deserve to see exactly what their county government does with their money.

District 11 is three distinct communities that share the same daily questions. Can we afford to stay? Is the block safe? Will the train run on time? Will anyone call me back?

Edwinna has spent years working alongside neighbors on exactly those questions — through community groups, volunteer service, and the everyday advocacy that happens when someone decides a problem is worth fixing. She is running because the county seat that touches public safety, transit, seniors, parks and the property tax levy should be held by someone who treats it as full-time work for residents.

This campaign is deliberately built around listening: community surveys, published aggregate results, and priorities that get updated as residents weigh in.

How She Works

Three Commitments

Show Up Before the Vote

Representation is a routine, not an event. That means standing office hours in every part of the district — not just campaign season doorknocks.

Say the Numbers Out Loud

County budgets are public but rarely readable. Every position on this site comes with a plain-language explanation of what it costs and who it helps.

Answer the Phone

A county legislator's most underrated job is constituent service. Calls get returned, cases get tracked, and residents get a real status update.

Background

The Path Here

  1. Roots

Raised on the value of neighbors

Edwinna's family settled in Westchester looking for the same thing families still come here for: safe streets, strong schools, and a shot at staying. Those expectations shape every priority in this campaign.

  2. Service

    Years of community work

From civic associations and school community groups to volunteer service with local nonprofits, Edwinna has spent years doing the unglamorous work of organizing meetings, following up, and getting problems resolved.

  3. Now

    Running for District 11

Affordability pressure, aging infrastructure and uneven county services convinced her that District 11 needs a legislator who treats the seat as full-time constituent work.
