In it, the village describes pursuing Army Corps of Engineers assistance for Eastchester Creek, coordinating with Pelham Public Schools and Westchester County on sanitary pipe issues, seeking a Climate Smart Communities grant for Monroe Avenue drainage upsizing, and completing design work on Mount Tom Road while coordinating with the City of New Rochelle on adjacent stormwater projects. The village also participates in the county's regional stormwater approach and a FEMA annex to the county's All Hazards Mitigation Plan.
Why this matters in District 11: water does not respect village lines. Pelham Manor, Pelham and New Rochelle share the same watersheds, which is exactly why the county — not any one village — has to be the one holding the plan together.
